May 6th- Bowling (Pinheads)- El Bandido's (Oak Hill)

May 7th- Carnifex and Fat Eddies

May 8th- Pottery Place- Packed Lunch

May 9th- Dirty Birds Ballgame (You will need to provide transportation to this game.)

 

Permission slips for the ballgame are due Tuesday!

 

More Information and permission slips will be sent home early next week for the other trips. I will let you know the cost of each trip on the permission slip. If you plan to attend any of these with your child, please let me know. Parents are welcome to come along. Transportation will be provided for the first three trips. If your child doesn’t want to attend a trip, they will need to stay home that day.

Dress Code Reminder



FEMALE STUDENTS K-4 THRU 12TH

  Skirts and dresses are to be modestly tailored (not skintight) and must be no shorter than 2” above the knees when worn alone or with leggings. 

  Dresses or skirts should not have slits that extend above the knee. Please follow the dress code when wearing formal attire.

  Modestly tailored pants, slacks or jeans are acceptable. Leggings and Yoga pants are permitted if worn with a loose top that covers the front and back and falls near the upper thigh.  Yoga pants/leggings are not permitted with only a tee shirt as a top.

·   Pajama tops, pants, or shorts are not permitted.

  Clothes must not have holes that reveal skin.

  Shorts should be no shorter than two inches above the knee while standing. Shorts/Pants are not to be form-fitting (bicycle or aerobic shorts, etc.).

  Undergarments should not be distinguishable through exterior clothing. 

  Blouses or shirts must be modest in style. No cleavage should be exposed. No tight-fitting shirts are to be worn. No spaghetti strap tops. Shirts, blouses, or dresses must cover the entire torso of the wearer the entire time, even in movement (when raising hands, bending, etc.).  

  Hair style and make up must be modest. 

o   Hair color must be a natural color (no pink, orange, green, purple, blue, etc.). No severe color contrasts.

o   Extreme hairstyles, including but not limited to, dreadlocks, Mohawks, and Fauxhawks, are prohibited. 

 

·    Caps or head coverings of any type are not to be worn during school. If worn to school, items are to be put into locker upon arrival and taken out at the end of the school day.

  Tennis shoes are required for PE.

 

MALE STUDENTS K-4 THRU 12TH

  Dress, casual slacks, and jeans are acceptable. Pants are to be worn at the waist, not baggy. Pants legs must not sag over the shoe or drag on the floor.

  Shorts should be no shorter than 2 inches above the knee while standing. Shorts/pants are not to be form fitting (bicycle or exercise shorts, etc.).

·   Pajama tops, pants, or shorts are not permitted. 

  Clothes must not have holes that reveal skin.

  All shirts must have sleeves. 

  Hair must be well-groomed.

o   Reasonable length for males means hair must remain above the collar and must not fall below the ears or eyebrows. Hair must be kept out of your face at all times, without the use of clips, combs, headbands, or ponytail holders.   This applies to “mullet” hairstyles. 

o   No unnatural hair colors (pink, orange, green, purple, blue, etc.). No severe color contrasts.

o   Extreme hairstyles, including but not limited to, dreadlocks, Mohawks, and Fauxhawks, are prohibited. 

o   Manbuns, extreme spikes, and ponytails are not permitted.
